I’m looking to find a few readers for my upcoming roller derby book.
What do you get? A preview of the book, a shout out IN the book, a free copy when it comes out, and an internet high-five.
What do you have to do? Read the book and provide some basic feedback by June 21st.
What’s the book, anyway? It’s basically a beginner’s guide to roller derby, with all the advice you might get in your first few years distilled down into 100 pages or so.
Why should you do it? Because it’s an awesome book that you would want to read anyway, so why not get it first and for free?
Interested? Please comment below or email frisky.sour at gmail dot com with the subject line “Reader.” Drafts should be ready to go out late this weekend.
Thanks!
*Edit 6/3/2013: The draft has gone out! Thanks so much to everyone who agreed to be an early reader. I hope you like it a lot. If you’re a speedy reader and you think you can get through 92 pages by June 21st, I’ll be happy to send you a copy in the next week or two. Just drop a line.
You’re writing a book? Cool! I’ll read it. 🙂
I’m game.
I am interested! I love roller derby and reading! And I’m pretty much a newbie – started skating two years ago and in my second year of tryouts (summer bootcamp/fresh meat) for the Minnesota RollerGirls.
Does one have to be a skater?
My husaband and I will do it! He’s about to go in for back surgery so he’ll have the time 🙂
Me, me, pick me!
Thanks everyone! I will send ya’ll emails in a couple of days.
Eclipse, oh, it’s been written! Mostly.
Josh, it’s geared 100% toward skaters, but another feedback from another perspective would be interesting
Would love to read this!
Me!
I want to!
I’m a fast reader. 🙂
Sent you an email!
[…] As you may already know, I wrote a guide to starting roller derby. I think it’s going to end up being pretty good, because almost 20 of you (!!!) volunteered to read it and give me feedback. Thank you for that! […]
